Hello everyone, i'm trying to rename using the directories option and when i press rename it's doesn't do anything it worked well almost with half the songs i have in the library, is it a bug or something in my side?

If you are trying to rename only songs that are in a specific directory (aka setlist), then you must first select those songs in Song Manager using the 'Select' checkbox  before renaming.  Remember to check the box 'Rename only the songs that are selected in Song Manager' in Renamer if you elect to use this method, otherwise all songs will be renamed.

 

Let me know if this solves your problem.

I mean that the program renames and puts the songs in directories using \\ and in my case the log says renamer took 0 seconds and the files are still in the root dlc directory

What is the complete custom 'Renaming Template' that you are using?

Any chance you are trying to rename songs that have a forward or backward slash in the the artist, title, and/or album name, e.g. AC/DC.  If so this could be source of your problem, as these can not be put into directories without getting rid of the slash first using 'Edit Song Information' feature.  Gotta follow windows directory/file naming rules too.

I did find a bug on my machine in that renamed files were not being place in the original 'dlc' folder but are being placed into another 'dlc' folder elsewhere on my machine.  Plz send or post the >My Documents/CFSM/debug.log file contents.  Specifically the Renamer log entry that says "Renaming From: ...  To: ... " in its entirety.

Give the latest build of CFSM a try.  Directory renaming issues with artists like "AC/DC" should be fixed.  Let me know if you get renamer working.
