A small update, but it's not enough! I keep messing up the intro riff. That one minute wait before the song start is killing me. Just went an hour without actually playing the song past the intro, because of misses, then went to riff repeater and completed the first two phrases 5 times in a row without any misses. I shall gitgud tomorrow!

Here's another 100% on the masterclass bass. Fell short score-wise, but Im proud of myself http://i64.tinypic.com/20say48.png

Aww yea, did better on try 2.http://i65.tinypic.com/6jpkrp.png

My bass is strung with some really light strings that don't work well down-tuned.  So this week I'll stick to the only Standard tuning track

I personally think beginner rhythm is harder than beginner lead. Difficulty 2 for lead and 3 for rhythm. Just need to swapped the raitings around  :) Purely for the slides in Rhythm. Also a quick question for anyone able to answer …. How do you play open string harmonics? Is it the same as pinch harmonics, but on the pickups not the frets?

Photobucket is a piece of shit!!

Are you talking about natural harmonics? Those you play by lightly touching a string at the designated fret. Dont press down though, let physics do the work. You should hear a higher pitched, clear note. A few tries should help you figure out how hard to touch the string. Most common ones are at the 5,7, and 12 (and 17,19, and 24) frets cause the rest don't fall precisely on a fret.

I think he means an actual open string harmonic. Some rocksmith tabs have a harmonic notation on top of an open string. Which is just incorrect tabbing as far as I can tell.

You can do an open string pinch harmonic. Pinch harmonics operate on the same concept as natural harmonics, its just you are using your picking hand to create the node. Kinda odd that it would be used over a natural harmonic though, and it probably -is - incorrect tabbing.

hey @@Vodka good to see ya mate

I think that the sync is out when playing that alternating E and D strings in the third fret, or maybe it's just my sync but on;y at that spot. Song is a let down after Last week.

I shall get that missing note tomorrow!

I realised today why I kept messing up that intro so many times. For some reason I kept adding an extra power chord to the transition where it goes from F5 to D5 to F5 to B#5 to G5. I even went from 90 to 100 % speed with 1 % increments playing the wrong F5 D5 E5 F5 B#5 G5. Clearly that extra E5 made me be late from the F5 and B#5.

And this one is begging for another go. Just random misses at this point.
