So I did this on a sight read..     and I was all proud of myself. Then I realized that this wasn't the Iron Maiden song of the week, so I sight read that too..     and now my hands don't work anymo

Have the song sounding like the song now, solos improved though in with same basic scale patterns.

Not my best score, but got through it on hard...need to fine tune a few parts...

I started strumming D string instead of G string after the last E8-E9 fret picking part... Other than that, perfect. I learnt to "cheat" the first strums C/#7 when moving there from another location. I'm making the same shape as the other chord (first finger barre, with second finger on E string and third finger on D string) and then just strum the first three strings. Other places I play it "safe" and do the actual chord shape (second finger E, first finger A, third finger D, fourth finger G).

How do you do your chord shapes there @@Hughmonty?

This  bass line is physically hurting me when I play, but it is just way too addictive. I'm at 492/495 now. 493/495 throws me to masterclass, so I have to stop or masterclass awaits!

@@meelo for c7#9 my middle finger is on E index A, 3rd is on D and my pinky is on G.

For C#7/9 it's 3rd on E, index on A, Pinky on D and middle on G.

Alright, I was initially doing the second chord the same way as you do it, but I had to teach myself to take the first chord in such way that the third finger is on G and fourth is on D (same order as in the other chord). And I moved between those two chords with a small slide/wrist tilt. Kind of what you do in the lead version. That barre shape works the best for me. Fast to get and much more reliable. I can also play that whole C+C# note picking phrase with the barre shape already established and just moving the whole shape between frets.

Any idea which three misses you have in yours?

I will be away for the weekend, so this is my final submission.

and some quick bass just to fill the category.

I tried it one more time but the red cross will not go away.

Always happens in the beginning during the transition from the intro, when I reach for the pick.

having much more trouble with the solo than i thought, made it to 95% in learn a song but failed my other attempt in score attack, dont think i'll do better, got no more time to play till sunday. Good work starkknight and vjohnal. The god of guitar song is quite sick, couldnt do more than 75%, tried to get close to both of you but its just too fast for me on that one.

Sat down for a bit and practiced it in riff repeater. First run is a riff-repeater run, so doesn't count, but shows roughly how much potential I have. Is it just me, or does the tempo actually get faster towards the end of the song?

I'm surprised this went through score attack. My fingers were already exhausted from the riff repeater, so I kept messing up the rhythm on those main riffs

Ok, I'm done with the Jazz chords. I'm having a hard time with half ass learning songs and not finishing them. I'm hoping that next weeks songs motivate.

I took a try at Iron Maiden, somewhat over my head but I might give it a few more plays.
