Hey ya'll, Nothing to post today. But I came across a video I thought I'd share, it's RS related!  If anyone is familiar with the youtuber TheDooo, they might have already seen it. He plugged a Ukul

Kinda surprised at the scores, I wouldn't call this a 10 but maybe a 8 or 9 since it's really only the solo that's difficult. Little bit of practice and I was able to get most of the solo down   @@MaZ

Played a bit, a little RR, so not first runs, but decent starting spot.

So glad to have a simplified version of this song.

Really liking this song, but those bar chords are a workout for me still.

Only missing a few notes on this one.  I tried it in score attack and got two strikes for missing 3 notes.  Too funny!

Same challenges with the bar chords, but I'm still trying.

Relaxing with the bass after the weekend, here are my first tries.

I really like the bass in the ABBA song, so I put in some RR. I have an improvement to show, but in sounds terrible. The speed where I get the rhythm and accentuation right is 90% only.

Am I wrong with my observation that a lot of melodic death/black metal guys have a soft spot for ABBA? Is it the melody or the fact that it is Swedish music too?  :D

I reckon this is easier than Wonderful Tonight.

I decided to miss a note or a strum 10 notes before a perfect streak http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/facepalm24x24.png

I found it odd that the C# minor chord had G# bass note in it, but the A major and E major lacked root notes. Had a lot of time to think during the song, it had a really calm tempo. I kept asking when is the song actually going to start. The song sounds kind of pretty

DqORwJ9.jpg I got a 99% lol. Somehow not picking up the bass for 3 weeks straight didn't put me back at beginner level like I thought it would. I would even venture to say I'm somehow a little better lol.

@@meelo That's a C#m 2nd inversion if the G# is the root note. Inversions just give a cord a different texture.

Yeah, I get that. Didn't remember the inversion term :) What I mean is that I found these inversions weird in the song's context. On one hand you have these pretty little A and E chords without their root notes and then you also get this bold sounding G#/C#min (or how ever you mark that).

It might be easier if you are comfortable with bar chords.  But most beginners have a hard time with them.  I did not get comfortable with them until long after i joined the advanced class here.  Now a few years after that i have no problem with them. :)

first runs for this week:

beginner lead: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1545639888

real problems with the bendings. nearly hit only one of three times the correct bending

beginner rhytmn on first run 100% (would not give this song a 3): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1545639771

int. rhytmn:

I hear ya there, I suck at bending.  That is one reason I picked this one, I figured it would force me to get better.

Nice job on the 100% rhythm score!

Oh right. I started with A/E-shape barre chords, because open chords felt a lot harder :D Also found it beneficial, as it forced me to move up and down the neck to get the chord I wanted.

But I reckon those bends of the Wonderful Tonight are technically a tad harder to play correctly. Especially since it has couple of pre-bends (although, rocksmith registers it if you just play the end-note).
