Rocksmith 2014 (PC) Crash

Okay so I have tried just about everything online to fix this issue and have nothing to show for it. Every time I open rocksmith it gives me a grey screen then crashes out. However if I can alt-tab before the crash it will start the game normally based on the sound I hear. Any ideas on how i can fix this?
