I think this could be an INT difficulty, but it's good anyway. I actually have the chance to refine my hands position (which is maybe normal to be incorrect since I am mostly self taught?) with an easier song than expected.

And well, double-stop bends I can't really tell why half of them are "miss". I thought I was decent at playing them, but every time they show up the same problem occurs, so I'm starting to doubt of my technique.

Got a 94% and forgot to take the screenshot. Not too bad, plenty of time to improve.

Then some time spent practicing the Hozier - Take me to church. Getting the hang of it. Although, I'm still missing the last chord strum every single time. -_- I didn't realise those were partial barre chords until Firekorn mentioned that. It is as if I unlocked a new skill \o/

I don't understand how to play the first phase in this song (although my score is pretty high). Am I supposed to silence the open string strums in that E0+A14 / E0+A16->14 section or let them sustain? Or are they along with the A-string notes marked as single notes for the sake of clarity?

what was the issue with the first version of Sex on Fire? I have played both now and while the first one wasn't particularly great the 2nd version seems to be way off :(

For Lead and Bass, except some minor string differences (for example: playing 11 on A in the first version instead of 16 on E on the second), the parts are almost identical.

In the Rhythm section, on the other hand, the first version is really simplified (and if the first one was a 4, the second one should at least be a 5).

Having someone having the actual score or knowing the song well should be interesting to get to the bottom of it.

 

On a personal note, for bass and lead, I do prefer the more "compact" first version, more strings, less frets... but anyway, the notes are the same and I don't have the level yet to appreciate the difference in tone/sustain/etc.  of playing the same note at different locations.

 

Edit: Playing on the same string allows slides that are not in version 1. I watched a live performance and the rhythmic part is definitely more accurate in the second one but for the bass, I wasn't able to see him goes up to the 16th but he slides a lot. Maybe we need a third version ;)

@@Bounours thankyou for letting me know. I preferred the bass on the first version of thw cdlc.. but I guess that's just a personal preference. :)

I like to play and let ring all E0's. It seems that playing it for real (for an audience, I mean) you should play the E0 before the A-string slide a little harder than the others (actually the others would be ghost notes maybe), but in RS you are risking a miss doing this way. I am afraid I don't fully understand your second question, but I try to answer: all notes here are distinct notes, as every note missed (all the E0 notes and all the A-strings notes) count as 1 miss.
