Does this count? Although I'm more than likely to play it again and hopefully progress :)

 

I think Bat Country could have been played as rhytm as well, perhaps at advanced level?

Although I guess this is a bit pointless, since I do want to stay in intermediate league in rhytm. Avenged Sevenfold just happens to be my Metallica.

Had the solo sounding OK in RR then fell apart in score attack.  Need to practice the other parts now...

I'm concerned with the mods love affair with thrash and speed metal. Don't get me wrong, they're cool songs but it gets hard to fully playthrough them because my hands start to burn

Tried the megadeath song but couldn't pass it. 

 

 

 

Please put me in whatever class you see fit for rhythm and bass. This is my first week competing so I'll trust y'all's judgement. ?

 

 

 

It's probably my favourite solo I'm working on since I joined the Championship. So addictive that I'm upset it doesn't sound good enough yet.

Surprisingly enough, I made progress. Getting more and more consistent at the clean strumming part. But that fast barre part at the first and second phase always gives me a strike or two.

Had an hour to play bass today

Missed a note or two, I guess, most likely due to low tuning...

 

Played Smooth Criminal with both fingers (almost got them into a knot!) and then pick. Pick is certainly easier

 

 

Played this one with pick first, then noticed I miss random notes here and there for no reason. Dropped the pick, played the last half with fingers and it was perfect.

 

Played Bat Country twice, one is better score, the other - better accuracy

@@ZeroPingNZ, As someone who strives to chase your scores, I understand the struggle.  Keep fighting the good fight!

I appreciate the work that goes into selecting the songs, but I too would welcome a bit different style of music sometimes.  To that end I just downloaded 200 CDLC that I'm taking notes on which ones are playable, difficulty, etc.  Hopefully I can add some suggestions based on that. 

 

Again, I respect the work that the organizers do in choosing songs, a big thanks to them.  I'd like to help if I can.

If people don't like the songs then add to the song selection page, I believe that the song are selected randomly. I mean it takes only one person to put a bunch of megadeth songs in and guess what we're all playing the next few months?

However - what do the purple bars mean?

Purple bar means that you barely made it. Missed too many for it to accept it as a good performance, but not enough to strike it.

After restarting the song like a gazillion times and finishing the song couple of times with 1-2 notes missing, I finally got the perfect run. My heart was racing so fast at the last couple of phases. I didn't want to mess up the main riff at the very end :wacko:

Yep, will do!  Like I say, I downloaded 200 songs so as I find good ones I will add them.  It has made me realize how hard it is to pick beginner level songs!  Again, you organizers do a fine job!
