Well.... week 250 anniversary selection brought us outstanding songs.

Everybody really should try more tan one and one week also seems a little short here.

So, after 250 weeks for the first time we will try to give the selected songs another week.

This is a single event and we orgas, including me are very unsure if this is a good idea. :wacko:

But we shall see... So - winners have been awarded but your scores stay in place - so make sure this doesn´t happen again or if you are the leader - fight for your crown!

 

If there is anyone really getting bored - excellent time to check out the championship exercises (see links below) or go back and work on improvement on one of the hundreds wonderful already played songs.

One of the biggest classics of one of the biggest bands of all time.

Big song that happened when communism was leaving Europe to give us some freedom.

 

Masterclass:   Santana - Europa (8)

How long it took us to finally play some Carlos Santana? Way too long. Prepare your bending skills, 'cause you will need them.

 

God of Guitar: Racer X - Scarified (Eb Standard) (10) - we are going to play both Lead and Rhythm as a GoG - winner will be selected by the best sum of both arrangements!

Don't be scared, try it at least :lol: What an amazing and short instrumental. I wish you all 100% here one day.

Masterclass: Pantera - Cemetery Gates (8) (official song) as played on week 148

Pantera - one of the greatests metal bands of all time. Sadly, on June 22nd, Vinnie Paul, Pantera's drummer and brother to late Dimebag Darrell died. Week 250 is a great way to pay a tribute to him.

More work on Louie Louie, finally moved the needle on both lead an rhythm.  Small improvement, but I'll take it.

 

 

 

And a small improvment on Help.  I have to be honest I havern't really been working the lead path of it tho.

I feel like crying..  played this song over 40 times cant improve on this score 96.55% for int lead.

       I might just need a break so I'll try tomorrow see what happens.

Finally getting there at a slow speed, this was 50%.  Don't log this score.

 

This is 100% speed, still freeze up and that part at the end my fingers just can't stretch like that.  May need to try to tap or some different fingering.

i didn't get much time as i went for a long weekend to see a friends band at a scooter rally in Yarmouth....... not that i remember much  :wacko:

 

anyway heres a couple of scores to kick off the new / old week

 

 

seems like you have to get the chords pretty spot on to get a good score on this classic 

 

 

 

& this one shouldn't be as hard was it is, looks easy from the start but i just can't get it right somehow.

Help!  It is a Hazy Shade of Winter here, and Louie Louie "gotta go now!"  I'm getting Scarified that the Winds of Change won't ever come and bring us new songs!  

 

Yeah, no progress.  Just banging my head against these songs while others make them look easy.  I actually shouted at the game when I missed the last note of Winds of Change and got the final red X to fail me out.  I did try a master mode run on Louie Louie rhythm.  I seem to have memorized the notes, even if I can't play them.

  

Hardest workday of the season (today) is over. I was mentally prepared for more than what we had to do. Great relief, bit of energy left, and despite minor injuries at my hands I wanted to play something. Couple of tries at Pantera, a little improvement.

 

Welcome @fmsjames! I have added your results on the Leaderboards and I think the Masterclass tier suits you, so black score (it means you will earn points for that) on the hardest difficulty, and grey score (no points awarded for those) on the others. If anything is not clear, just ask.

No score for me yet on Help... quite a lot for me to get the hang of the chord changes and also learn to do barre chords. I'm up to about 80% speed and it sounds like shit!  :lol: .

 

I'm also having the opposite problem with note detection compared to palm mutes.. the game now seems way too generous with registered the chord even though it sounds horrible.

At least it's better than last week's score! \o/

Was just playing through some random songs and realised I slight beat my accuracy, so here it is:

 

 

I feel like I am "close" to  a break through on this one.  Would be nice to have a couple of more weeks on this.

 

Also for those working on this, for the last fast part, I used 11th fret D string instead of that 16th A string.

Just recovered from a man flu and had an hour to play today. Finally got a better score on Beatles Bass

 

Wanted to practice guitar on other tracks but then got distracted playing other CDLCs :)

Friday afternoon warm up, been another busy week with no Guitar time  :(

 

However.... i saw that the Maztor improved his Motorhead score and i just couldn't leave it,

 

 

 

and a little plus on Santana
