Big song that happened when communism was leaving Europe to give us some freedom.

 

Masterclass:   Santana - Europa (8)

How long it took us to finally play some Carlos Santana? Way too long. Prepare your bending skills, 'cause you will need them.

 

God of Guitar: Racer X - Scarified (Eb Standard) (10) - we are going to play both Lead and Rhythm as a GoG - winner will be selected by the best sum of both arrangements!

Don't be scared, try it at least :lol: What an amazing and short instrumental. I wish you all 100% here one day.

Masterclass: Pantera - Cemetery Gates (8) (official song) as played on week 148

Pantera - one of the greatests metal bands of all time. Sadly, on June 22nd, Vinnie Paul, Pantera's drummer and brother to late Dimebag Darrell died. Week 250 is a great way to pay a tribute to him.

So I guess I participate in advanced bass and intermediate rhytm.

Bah, only just realised there were 2 beginner bass songs this week (is that normal; one for pick and one for fingered?) so here it is. Like the last one this is my second go after riff repeating the triplets a few times to get the timing right. If I hadn't mucked up the slide in the beginning I probably would have done a bit better. :( I'd probably fair better if I actually used 2 fingers to play, but like I said before I only just picked up the bass a few days ago and haven't gotten comfortable with it... yet. ;)

Same here - the bends in the lead path are killing me.  Also still fighting the fingers to get the 4 note chords correctly.  

I'm Trying, but it seems like I keep drifting down to Db Dorian?

Well, I was about complain about the fingering on Europa on bass but I see a couple of people have 100% so, I guess I'll have to bite it and try again. *Sigh*

97.72 on Europa bass. Not bad considering I'm playing differently than what is shown on screen:

As an aside, in the future, is it legal to redo the fingering and use that to do the challenge? I'm assuming I would have to post my modified version.

Vacation was too hot to practice until today.  But I got in some good practice and pulled out my first 100% on an intermediate ranked song.

Also ran a couple tries at Europa, my pinky and the 4th fret do not agree with one another especially not at speed, might try it by shift up for the single note, but I don't know if I can move my hand fast enough. Meh

That song is physically hurtfull, starting to feel  a begining of tendinitis in my right arm. Maybe because i've been slacking off on practice lately.

Some improvement, bypassing the tuner on this one.  Maybe one more run and then tune to what the game wants, not sure if it will make a difference.

@@Bounours some songs just don't fit with you. I had a lot of troubles with Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, even though I should manage a good score.

 

@@Saturnation Songs are selected by Lead difficulty so it may lead to multiple easy bass lines and thus a couple of Beginner songs (or different class ones).

 

@@lduperval You mean transposing notes to a different string? Rocksmith requires you to hit correct sound so you can hit D10 or G5 at your will and RS should be ok with either one.

This time I did the right category.... Rhythm, but I did like the lead part better.
