Big song that happened when communism was leaving Europe to give us some freedom.

 

Masterclass:   Santana - Europa (8)

How long it took us to finally play some Carlos Santana? Way too long. Prepare your bending skills, 'cause you will need them.

 

God of Guitar: Racer X - Scarified (Eb Standard) (10) - we are going to play both Lead and Rhythm as a GoG - winner will be selected by the best sum of both arrangements!

Don't be scared, try it at least :lol: What an amazing and short instrumental. I wish you all 100% here one day.

I know only two S&G songs and that's one of them. And it's so good.

 

Masterclass: Pantera - Cemetery Gates (8) (official song) as played on week 148

Pantera - one of the greatests metal bands of all time. Sadly, on June 22nd, Vinnie Paul, Pantera's drummer and brother to late Dimebag Darrell died. Week 250 is a great way to pay a tribute to him.

Very hot weather to play guitar!!!  :wub:

 

Was wanting to try this but not want to retune my guitar.  So, I bypassed the tuner and the game still seemed to recognize my playing.  I like how this one is tabbed, it gives you a little freedom on how you strum.  

Just built a new PC this week which is why I'm a bit later than usual

 

 

 

The steam overlay currently isn't working for me so I wasn't able to get europa. Guess I'll just take the L   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

To be completely honest, I don't like the gog song this week. Not because the song it self sucks but because it's one of those technique show off songs and I don't enjoy randomly playing notes in the hope that I get some.

Not quite the progress I was hoping for, but, I will take it.

The bass part of Help was gnawing at me.  I feel like I would be better if I switched to the pick, but I'm trying to learn fingered bass so I stuck with that.

 

At least there is some improvement, I feel like I haven't improved much on any of the lead parts this week.  I haven't been able to beat the first sightreading score on lead Louie Louie or Help from Saturday.

You should always do a new post for better scores, or they will get overlooked!

Literally failed on the last note in master mode  :lol: . But it forced me to listen to the song and memorise it almost instantly. Starting to see the value of master mode more now.

Louie Louie is killing me. I cannot play it twice in a row. Don't know why it's so difficult for me :(

I had to battle through the b-b-f-f-b-b-f-f-b-b-f-f-b-b part of the chorus. Kept losing one of those notes randomly. But finally an hour later it managed to catch them all \o/

At this point it was already a full blown session and wanted to play something else, but I suppose I have to try the advanced track later on.
