How does the difficulty work, Do I just pick whichever category I think I should be in, or do I start from easy then after 3 weeks go up? (if I even can)

Hi, and welcome!

You can choose the class you want to be your primary challenge. You can choose one class for each path (lead, rhythm, bass), but you don't have to play guitar if you don't want to (example). You are allowed to play every song you want but you won't be awarded points for difficulties below your class.

@@MaZtoR I just coloured my run for MC Rhythm as I think I got the bonus point with the MM yesterday.

 

Damn, I didn't realise it was already over, I got some good runs too late.

Lol what? I won the Advanced rhythm? No way, I'm not even in the class and Telboy is ahead of me :)

So easy but the octaves sneaked up on me unexpectedly 

 

Pretty sure I missed many notes in the beginning but the % doesn't reflect it. Weird. 

 

 

I'd probably put this song in intermediate, with the difficulty (4).

 

Very surprised with my first attempt even though I couldn't keep up with the 16th notes most of the time. Do you play it with fingers or pick?

Can anybody play this part without cheating and playing every other note? I tried RR and can do it 80% but I lose the rhythm when trying faster...

Cool okay. Well I'll start with easy anyway and see how I get on.

 

 

Rolling in the Deep on bass 100%

 

Contrary to @@NoonyDeloony and @@ZeroPingNZ, I find Highway To Hell far easier than the Arctic Monkeys' track - 100% on HTH, but still working my speed up on Still Take You Home

Contrary to @@NoonyDeloony and @@ZeroPingNZ, I find Highway To Hell far easier than the Arctic Monkeys' track - 100% on HTH, but still working my speed up on Still Take You Home

 

It is easier (just a few tricky notes towards the end) so I'm not sure why it's in Advanced :) Arctic Monkeys seem more difficult but Rocksmith somehow recognized notes that I couldn't play (the beginning goes fast and I never heard this song before) so I somehow ended up with a better score.

Guitar time. I like all songs this week (Kreator is a bit too fast for my liking though) so this is going to be fun!

Missed the small solo fills 

 

This song seems too easy for being (5)

 

Also played songs beyond my skill level. I actually thought AC DC was in Int! Had a difficult time with the chords but some practice in RR will fix it

 

 

 

And Kreator... was really surprised with my score :)

Corrected the placements, and yes - you have you couple but by a slice of paper... my l8 sightread on rhy was good enough for a kick :p , while i missed on bass ony by streak ;)

Yes, the bass chart seems very forgiving. I play it with a pick, but it really is played fingered originally.
