    Tried all songs. Never played them before, all sightread. Heard all of these except Riverside many times though

    This song kicked my ass! Can tell I play rhythm more but those barre chords really humbled me. I need to practice barre chords!

    I just had to play Sleepwalk 'cus the Bass VI is built for surf music. 100%

     

    Having a 6 string bass, tuned EADGCF, I tried a couple of different fingerings to skip strings instead of move up and down the neck, but transposing on the fly just kept throwing me off.

    Got my electric guitar... very humiliating! "Bad performance" even on the easiest songs. So much harder to play after playing bass and almost impossible to play while sightreading, which I can easily do when playing intermediate songs on bass...

    Hi !

     

    Long time without playing thanks to my brand new carpal tunnel syndrome... (happy forties)

     

    Oh dear, I had the same. And to a degree still have it. Too much strain from guitar playing, computer work, motorcycling and sword fighting.  It never really goes away, says my orthopaedic.

     

    I managed to keep it under control by switching keyboard layout to Dvorak, cutting down on mouse use, selling the bike and putting HEMA activities on hiatus. Guitar playing time increased, though :-)

    yes, you can use RR to learn a solo, or you go the hard way and run against the wall until you are not the one that falls ;)
