So redone my realtone cable just to find that the breakaway usb part doesnt work, has anyone just soldered a standard USB to it so it is one long cable? I wont have to worry about it getting caught or anything as it tucks into a hole in my desk.

@@Raamie don't fuckup with soldering usb to it directly or you could short those leads and burn out RT cable logic for good

if you could get breakaway replacement that would be nice abut fi you still prefere to hardmod it to usb A connector you may need to secure your joints with hot glue on pcb or on your wires and add some thermal shrink thingy to be sure it's ok

after that you'd better do some work on routing your rt cable in safe position and use some di-box to connect your regular cable to it soy there's no stress given to RT i'm sure there's reddit posts about that you could check that out yourself
