Guitarpro tab is 18 minutes long but 53 minutes long in EOF

My guitarpro tab is 18 minutes long, but when I transfer it to EOF, for some reason it is 53 minutes long.

 

Also, changing the bpm doesn't help a bit.

 

Any ideas or solutions?

    Well without any actual information (access to the file for testing would be great) my only guess is a failed repeat bar somewhere that is creating some kind of infernal loop at one point but that's a wild guess.
