Once I click off RockSmith onto my other monitor, the game freezes

As I said in the title, the game freezes, and I have to close the games and reopen if I want to play more, but I still hear the audio. I've had this issue since July 2017. Been using CDLC obviously. I can't turn "windowed" mode on in my display settings either. I've contemplated uninstalling the game, removing all CDLC and trying to turn it on that way, and installing all my songs back. Does anyone know a better way to resolve this? Thanks so much!

Not sure about this, since it has never happened to me, but I suppose keeping Rocksmith on your primary monitor, and changing the other stuff onto the second probably wouldn't crash the game. I don't think CDLC has anything to do with this since they are just little files instead of programs, unless this only happens when you play CDLC.
