Fell very behind today, so gonna be a Da Capo week. I picked some good ones, though!

Gamut Bass Adventures

 

 

 

Whoops, dropped a few. :sweat: This is a great example of a bassline that's nothing crazy, yet makes for a great counterpoint.

 

 

Missed screenshot on the Adv but I only got 91.7. I can't maneuver bass notes nearly as quickly as guitar notes, so when it really gets moving I fall behind. :sob:

 

Guitar scores tomorrow?!

Welp let's start this thing off with bass night. Unfortunately after 2 hours now I have to let my plucking fingers heal a bit, So guess I'll grab the guitar, or  maybe I'll work on a little touch up on the set up, it's been awhile.  Next time I should pay more attention.  Little more practice and I think I can 100% that Gary Moore song, but it's quite long. Not bad for a first nights work I think.

Last time we played Californication i started of with 63% and ended up with 92.67%.   Its nice to see improvements.

Naked burn felt like a few series of random notes, i had no idea of what i was playing.  Hopefully that will change after some RR and maybe listening to the song without playing.

Noob question and I am pretty sure I asked it last time we did Californication but wtf are the purple boxes on the chords at the end? I can't get through that part at all :(

Starting the week with some bass. After that I had to play the other bluesy Gary Moore and Thin Lizzy tracks I have, but I will spare you with the screenshots.

 

Mastodon is one of my favorites. Worked on this one for a little bit today

 

Alright finished getting the 100% I wanted on the Gary Moore tune, and have finally realized I probably shouldn't play that much bass when I already have visible blisters.  On to the guitar parts for the week!

They're not chords, are they?  They are "arpeggios", whatever they are...  Just play them as normal "bass" notes. ;)

@@NoonyDeloony yes, @@missis sumner is right here, it just indicates that you should hold that chord shape through.

It would be crime not to play that insane Lucretia on rhythm as well :D

First entry for a few weeks. I'm finding it hard to focus on CS songs when a) it's not what I'd generally listen to and B) i'm punching above my weight. Now that the weather is warmer, i'm also spending more time on the MTB.

 

As @@MaZtoR said, this just sounds like random notes.....mostly due to operator error.

Arpeggios are broken (not damaged :lol:) chords played note by note. You can just hold down the chord and play the single strings. Those boxes are trying to prepare you for the imcoming chord/arp.

It's also for bass players important to know them ;)

Cheers @@missis sumner @@Mortalo and @@fripponomic. I shall make sure I start practicing chord shapes for the purpose of arpeggio's then... (How on earth does rocksmith know if I am arpeggiating the chord shape though??? :D )

@@NoonyDeloony it does not, but it takes less effort to hold your fingers on right frets rather than moving all the time. And maybe you'll learn to use pinky more often on that power chord octave note :)
