Oooh, I love Dire Straits! And Black Velvet was the song selected the first time I participated here back in week 145 :p

wow these are some great songs, a lot of tuning this week lol. really like alice in chains, that velvet song is awesome, was worried about the dire straits because I know two dire strats songs one of which I really dont like and one I like, turns out this is the one I like, other one was "money for nothing" the misfits are pretty awful post danzig but its probably a pretty good beginner song to work on

I remember working my ass off on this one last time, but only ended up with 75%.   Have played it a few times since then so i knew it a little.

Ain't it extreme how days can be changed.
Started with a wonderful holiday breakfast here in beautiful Croatia and then received a call that my wifes to be uncle and friend of mine had died, age 55 on gastric bleeding and liver failure that also led to kidney failure based on alcohol abuse. I have spend days with him and i swear i had no idea he was drinking, noone had.
Now he leaves his brother all alone with a big farm....
Cannot be more sad.

When I said I "liked" your post, I didn't really.  My mum's partner died a similar way after drinking while taking drugs for another condition.  I was only thinking of him today as well - must have only been 10 years ago, and a similar age.  :(

Always one for a tribute, I tried Peg on bass.  The result was a train wreck ( 80% ), but I will improve this one in the normal manner over the course of the week.
