ToolKit for MAC Question

I am a PC user but I'm trying to help someone using a mac with RS Remastered.

On a PC you use the toolkit to unpack the psarc file and put it in the DLC folder. Do you have to also unpack the file for MAC after you've converted it to the MAC format ?
