CDLC Lag

Whenever I play CDLC my game lags and the audio gets all distorted. How would I fix this issue?

    Any processes running in the background which eat up all your cpu? Virus scanner, backup, sync, ...

    Which platform? Does your computer meet the minimum requirements of the game?

    No, none of these things and my computer meets well over the minimum , im running on steam and windows 7
