Welp. First try at INT Lead and it's a 37% 6 streak.  Rocksmith says "Bad Performance."  Stupid judgy computer voice.

 

No INT rhythm this week so I guess I gotta drill this.

All Beginner Lead players with 100% you don't have to level up to Intermediate if you don't want to. Last week's Beginner tune was simple, so we won't force you to go up.

Radio Song is a fun track on bass.  I'm starting at 98% and will make some improvements before moving on to the other selections

I have attempted Led Zeplin. Nothing else shall be said about that.

I played radio song, that's cute and fun so might give it a few more go's and play some more of the rest tomorrow.

 

I got back late from work but I did beat my score on Ghost's square hammer and done a vijo play through too. :D It's not my best score either but I prefered this recording because my #1 lad is in it :) He's cute and the reason for the sloppy performance because I was rushing so I could say goodnight. 

 

 

@@mackaybre Ha! I also got "Bad Performance", although I'm embarrassed to say I got a 30%.  So are you definitely going up to Intermediate?

 

My first run on the beginner netted me a 64, although I'm sure I can bring it in once I get some of the parts in to muscle memory.

This week is tougher on me! I'll have to work on this Zeppelin solo!

 

Superbus 98.22% :

 

Perfect 89.50%

 

Pantera 95.37% :

I personally don't think I'm consistent enough to hit at least 79% for every week's INT Lead song (let alone the 90-ish needed to be competitive), but I plan to at least try to play those songs weekly to try to improve. BEG Lead isn't so lonely anymore, and if I can cut it, i'll shift up to let others vie for the Beginner Awards.  I'm kind of embarrassed to still be "Beginner" after owning my guitar for nearly 20 years, but it seems to be the range I'm capable of with the song selections and the time I have available to play.

 

After riff-repeating a while for BEG Lead Radio Song, I'm up to 91.29% Streak 133, 287,190.  

Curse you, ever shifting time continuum! I wanted to tryhard on Ghost and Monster Truck. :(

 

I guess I'll just have to tryhard on Heartbreaker instead!

Givin Tapatalk another shot... so this is kind of Test but i cannot wait to start on Pantera ... hopefully this afternoon.

Maybe it's just me but the INT lead song feels way harder than a 5. I'm having a hard time getting any of the HOPO's to register, and my slide technique leaves a lot to be desired. I think I'll focus on Pantera this week.

It definitely require you to use slide. It's still quite slow and has not that many notes to hit. HOPOs were not giving me much trouble (surprisingly, usually I easily miss that chord shape) in comparison to those bends on G with B and e string.

I think I'll always be INT / Beginner because I like the songs more & it actually sounds ok rather than my random fret board stabs when I try the advanced stuff.

@@mackaybre I've been playing guitar on and off for as long as Misses S but have only really improved since I've been in the Championship.... it just makes me wanna play more often and all the guys on here give me something to chase.

Funny you should say that. I have just been looking at some Roland drums for him, he got a guitar last year but has barely been out the bag but it is there for #2 :) ... Might have to wait until the man of the house is back in work loike, recently made redundant so we are a bit skinty flaps :(

Even if they're not swapped, the Pantera song really isn't my cup of tea, so think I'll work on trying to perfect Superbus this week.

Nothing from me this week.  First we had our power knocked out by a pretty damaging wind storm (always fun during the winter!), and we had to spend a lot of time cleaning up from that, then I had some health issues to deal with.  Not a good week.  Hopefully I'll get back to it for next week.
