February 19, 201411 yr Has anyone else had issues with the music track being too quiet or the guitar being too loud? It's only happened with CDLC, so I'm wondering if it's an issue that happens when using the Rocksmith Custom Toolkit?
February 19, 201411 yr You have to enter the volume level for the backing track and the guitar within the Rocksmith Custom Toolkit. If you use the defaults it may happen that the levels differ too much. You may unpack the CDLC, adjust the levels and repack it again.
February 20, 201411 yr Ya its the person that made the custom that chooses the volumes for the song volume and your guitar volume so it can vary drastically from charter to charter. I like mine so that the guitar is just a little louder than the song so I hear the music but my guitar drowns out the songs guitar. I've played some though where I couldnt hear my guitar at all and still others where I couldnt really here my guitar unless I made a mistake and then it stood out. It's all personal preference.
February 20, 201411 yr in RS 2014, you have the option to goto the mixer and adjust it easily ingame. if you are familiar with the toolkit, you can "import" the song into the main page, and adjust volumes, and re-save it. very easy to do now
February 20, 201411 yr Author Hmm, I'll try importing it into the tool kit and re-exporting it. Thanks for the help guys!
March 17, 201411 yr I have the tool kit but could I get a "Increasing the guitar volume for dummies" explaniation on how to use toolkit to do it? Thanks
March 17, 201411 yr Simple solution is turn your guitar down ;)Notes aren't then recognized usually... All my customs can be found here :)
March 17, 201411 yr You can always adjust the mix in RS. A bit cumbersome to do that for every song, tho.
March 17, 201411 yr I have all the volumes up. One track in particular is John Mayer's Gravity. You can hardly hear your own guitar.
January 9, 20169 yr Hello, I know that this is really old and i'm sorry that i'm digging it up, but I've had the same problem, but I found a simple fix by mistake.Almost every CDLC song started too quiet(guitar volume was ok) but It was impossible to hear other instruments, so the fix I found is pretty simple. Press ESC after the song has started(the speakers show up) and just press ESC again and start having fun with normal sound of the song ;)Sorry again for the dig up, but someone may still look for some fix to that.
