Notes start too soon, how do I fix?

Featured Replies

Just made my first CDLC. Everything looks great in EOF. All of the notes match up perfectly with the song with no issues. I save it, used wwise for the audio, then load up toolkit and create the CDLC.

When actually put into the game, the notes start about a second too soon, and is not in sync with the music at all. They seem to start as soon as the song starts, not when the first bass note is, as I have it laid out in EOF. Again, it's all perfectly in time in EOF. Am I missing something super easy here?

It's likely that you haven't converted the correct audio file with wwise if you added leading silence in EOF.

Note that the toolkit can do the wwise convertion automatically for you.

I did convert the correct audio file. There's 3 seconds of silence at the start. The difference between the song starting and the notes starting is only a second, so I know the 3 second silence is correct on both. It's just that the notes start the second the song starts instead of the approx second they need to wait, like it shows on EOF.

If it works properly in EOF, it's very likely you aren't using the same files that EOF use. It's the only way i can explain how there would be such a difference.

I deleted everything except the EOF file and started new, allowing it to create a new wav file. This has fixed the issue, and everything is now in sync! Thank you for your help.
