Rocksmith won't launch with new D3DX9_42.dll

Hello,

I've recently bought Rocksmith on steam and wanted to try using the CDLC. I'm able to see the CDLC in Rocksmith 2014 by just placing them in the dlc folder but they freeze as soon as I play them.

So far everything normal, my problem is that when I put the D3DX9_42.dll in my rocksmith folder, the game doesn't launch at all. (I don't have a D3DX9_42.dll in my normal game directory normally)

I have a rocksmith.exe in my Task manager using 18Mb memory and 0% processor and nothing else happens when the dll is in the game folder.

The game does run perfectly fine without it though, but I can't use CDLC...

I tried uninstalling/re-installing, integrity check / restarting here and there / launching as admin / different windows compatibility.

Does someone have any idea what would be the problem ?

I'm on windows 10 with a pretty solid computer

I have, I just can't start the game itself with the D3DX9_42.dll in the game folder, I have no blackscreen or whitescreen or bug report from windows. there is just a rocksmith.exe in my taskmanager and that's it, no rocksmith icon in my taskbar.

I found a solution !

Uninstalling every vcredist from my computer allowed the game to finally launch
