I'm sure I'm still having note recognition issues with my patched up cable.  I was convinced I hit every note on the Volbeat song, but alas, Rocksmith said "no", and my score was worse than yesteday's.

Sorry for AFKing this week, my computer problems are slowly getting worse. For the past couple weeks, when I play RS on my jerryrigged fossil of a machine, it won`t just lag and drop my accuracy - it will also crash the amp every 2-4 plays! :sweat: So go figure, I`m mostly getting my guitar fix on my acoustic lately.

 

Might throw up a score just so I don`t lose diehard, but until I get the last piece of my new machine, don`t expect much in the way of competition from me.  :lol:

I'm an electrical tech (as opposed to electronic) so decided to crack open the box looking for any obvious issues.....after checking out the board and the 'do dads' soldered to it, I quickly threw it in the bin. The best thing you can do to prevent potential Realtone cable issues is to use an amp with RS. I run a standard cable from guitar to a Radial Big Shot ABY splitter. One output of the splitter goes to the amp, the other is the Realtone cable to PC. The plus to this is that the Realtone cable is never moved.

I'm currently using a basic Y-splitter cable to carry the signal to my amp and to my Mac via the Realtone cable.  Unfortunately, because I move around a fair bit for work, the Realtone cable gets transported along with the rest of my kit.  It's in moving form one place to another that it's stopped working completely. :(

 

Anyway, on the plus side, I've managed to "fix" my old broken cable, and I've got a lovely new ABY box coming in the post next week...

Just when I thought I got a less worse score on Party at Ground Zero. I noticed that I got leveled down in a part whereI have no difficulty- Grrrr.  So here is my inadmissable score of 96%.  But then again.  I'm a FreeBird, so who cares.
