Allowed bcs :  We can use the rule only if we can monitor compliance. Everything else is on the conscience of the participants

that means playing in lower classes. If a * follows the name in normal letters it's a higher class.

~ is the freebird sign. Those scores are all irrelevant for the leaderboard.

 

 

Whoever updated the scores screwed up cause they put my score as ThugRaven's lol

Personally i agree with @@Steven Briquette. For most of us, emulated bass have a little advantage in the score. Less size of frets - less moves - less pressure, more easy hold high speed etc. Would be fair to play on the real bass for competition. But we can not determine was used an emulated or real bass. So lets be fair.

And while I sympathise that there isn't any real way of enforcing the rule, I still think we should have a rule on it. Technically, Rocksmith note detection will accept anything you mic up that hits the right pitches. You could play guitar with a violin, you could play bass with a trombone, and organisers would not be able to know the difference.

 

Does that mean we have no choice but to accept violin and trombone scores? Of course not! :P

it basically means that it's pretty unfair, but if it was forbidden we couldn't verify if it's respected so it's your choice if you're happy with winning without a bass.

 

But no problem, I'm as free as a bird now.

@@JokerTheAnarchist - it´s a bit sad that you deleted all your posts, so the controversy retrospectively can only be followed onesided, and you are not going to make too many friends here shooting at us orgas for not instantly updating scores - that is done manually, is hell lot of work, and ALWAYS done WITHIN HOURS (!), just to be clear.

 

For the bass issue i am gonna only state my personal impression as a bad adv bassist. Bass playing on a real bass is great, and still i have to thank @@Molice who convinced me to get one right when i started here. Playing emulated has nothing to do with real bass experience feeling the rhyth vibrations from the instrument, i highly recommend trying that to anyone; and for me emulated does not yield in higher acc scores. I know that well cause when i am abroad i always take a guitar and laptop with me, i´d get killed by my better half if did carry an extra bass :mellow: ! - that (the score, not the frag) is likely cause i have big hands, so the extra fretsize comes in handy, it´s not practice, i never practice bass because i have no time ( :angry: shame). The good side of emulated bass is that it makes people try a real bass!!!

 

Please let´s not forget we are all here for fun only and keep the discussion level in that spirit.

Oh no I didn't want to nag anyone, take all the time you want updating the scores, just make sure it's correct by the end of the week, haha  :P

Emulated bass was used before on many occasions to win MC, and it was even admitted by those participants multiple times.

Truth is, there is nothing like real bass and, as me and Roddie being perfect example of that, stick with us for too long and you'll end up with one. So feel warned.

 

Each song has a difficulty rating next to it (in leaderboard), so if anyone does not agree with it, tell us, as multiple opinions can produce better ratings.

 

If we make any kind of error, we're gonna fix it, when pointed to. But we can be nasty as well, and we proofed that when someone was too irritaiting :lol:

Well...my laptop has gone and died on me. :( From a brief Google it might be the battery or it might be the motherboard frying. I'm hoping I can get it sorted quickly, my laptop is my life! :( The cynic in me finds it mildly smirk inducing that it should happen on Cyber Monday. :side-eye:
