Can you just let the section roll until you get to the part you want to practice and pause the screen? That usually helps me if there is a butt long section with a tiny widdley bit at the end.

 

 

Yeah, I did that, but I was really struggling with the rhythm of the thing. Anyway it's just a small annoyance, my guitar skills are the real issue, but I'm working on that  :P And this cheesy metal is still a lot of fun to play  :D

 

 

With Remastered you can scroll through the song with some buttons (triggers on the gamepad) at the pause menu.

...only misses are definitely due to it. I start to pray when I have to play something like 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2, that's pretty annoying. I think it's just the A string, anyone has advices to get rid of that ?

Edit: Seriously, you could try heavier gauge strings on a dedicated bass for drop tunings.  Adjust the nut though - I've cracked the standard one I had by fitting stings that were too thick…

Just a thought, but do we have the option of being freebird on one path only?  I've never really been a bass player and don't own a bass.  So I jumped into the championship playing emu bass just for the fun of it (feel free to strip me of my wins and publicly flog me :) ).  Guess I never really gave it much thought, but @@Steven Briquette makes some good points.  If it were up to me I would go freebird on bass (freebassing?) and stay classed on lead and rhythm.

 

I have been thinking about buying a bass for a little while, and probably will at some point, but for now it is emu or nothing for me.

No. That's not an option.

 

Reasons for why we made a "freebird mode" was to allow participants to not feel the stress of competition or being locked into the competition. We understand that there might be participants that want just to hang out, post some pics and feel like they belong to our sweet little community, without all that class crap.

You can play in one class as regular participant, and free play in other class. So you can to get one of trophies in own classes and DHM.

Freebird only for really free people, not for hunter for trophies :)

As crap as this score/accuracy etc is. I like it, I'll make it good. King Bob did get involved somewhat hence rubbish streak score where his hand was fretting things that weren't meant to be fretted, and in some places where it was supposed to be fretted (cheers kid... probably improved my score :) .) a 7.5 imo. :)

I improved my Metallica score and streak massively today, yet got a worse accuracy, but it did unlock this essential bit of kit for me....

I think I have the tone from Elvis Costello's Pump it up which is a nice bouncy tone and the one from Tool 10000 day's (by someone's recommendation, I can't remember who but it's quite nice with various genre's) Cars by Gary Numan that's got quite a nice mild distortion to it. I quite like the tones from Black by Pearl Jam too. Harmonics sound good through that :)

I don't.  I turn the bass right down in the game and send my bass signal directly to my amp.  That way I can actually hear how I sound (bloody awful, usually lol).

how do you do that ? bass into amp with jack then amp into PC with real tone cable ? can't this damage the cable or something ?
