Not really sure where to post this.

 

I have a little problem that I can't solve. It started a couple of months ago, and it's when I use "Renamer" I got a error message for every song in my dlc folder when I want to rename them, no matter if it's official dlc or cdlc, see picture. I even get it using the "Preview" function. I have searched for a solution, re-installed Windows 10, formated the disc that I have my steam folder on with no luck.

 

I have to keep the "Enter key" pressed to let it go thru the list and when it's finished all files are renamed so the function works.

 

I have tried multiple versions of cfsm, both releases and betas.

 

Can anyone help me? What have I missed?

Here is a work around:

 

Move your entire 'dlc' folder to the root directory d:\ then change the CFSM path to RS2014 install to be d:\ then try renaming.  When finished renaming move the d:\dlc folder back to the original location in the steam folder.

 

There is a 132 character limit for CDLC paths.  Looks like you may be exceeding this with your sub directories.

Here is workaround:

work with dlc folder as working directory and have paths as relative to dlc folder, EOF doing smth like that to avoid path length issues >_>

Now it works, after this steps.

 

1. Moved my dlc folder to d:\

2. Changed "Rocksmith Installation Directory" in settings to d:\

3. Did a rename of all my dlc/cdlc

4. Put dlc folder back to it's original place

5. Changed "Rocksmith Installation Directory" back

6. Tried to do another rename of all files and it works, no error message.

 

I can even do longer filenames and directories without any problems now then before, this is strange but I'm not complaining :-)

Your songs are already renamed therefore 'Renamer' doesn't even try again.  When you add new songs and then try to rename you may have the same problem again.  YW

I changed the "renaming template", added keys, rearranged and added my own text. and it did rename the files, trust me I checked the files after each time. I took a cdlc I hadn't added before to my dlc folder and it was renamed.
