Yeah, no.....Anime theme songs arent my thing, really :p They are so cheesy i cant take it

I love Muse, but Uprising is a really boring song to play on guitar. Here's hoping the kawaii pick is more sugoi.

Here's my start for the week.

 

After a few passes in RR, Sailing Man on bass = 99%

 

An Uprising on bass seems to be more a test of endurance than skill 98%

When I put it out I thought that this song was real hard but now after I know chords a bit better the fast shifting is less intimidating (I think an 8 is fair)

But I'd love if anyone could point toward bass parts that are as challenging as this one! (I actually got 96.4 but i took the screenshot too early lol)

Not being able to play in the Championship sucks...

 

I guess I'll be loosing my DHM pick this week if I can't get fixed, or do I get a week's grace?

@@missis sumner I'd like to think our CS overlords would grant you that ... it's not something in your control :( hope you can get it sorted soon (by preferably putting the Mac in the bin and getting a proper computer ;) . )

Love shack was dreadful for me because of the tuning (new strings that don't really like low tunings) But i still think i got a good score

Then Tomadoi Recipe. Oh my was that fun. Shame i fon't really like this type of music, because that is some killer bass. Just 0.1% off earth2mars too!  :angry:

Question: Is the "God of Guitar" a class above Master?

I have never been in the championship, but I became interested now.

God of Guitar is not mentioned anywhere..

If I enter with the God of Guitar song, will I be on that level? Or is this some kind of special thing?

I am fairly new to the championship myself, but I am pretty sure GoG is more of a bonus challenge.  There isn't a class for it as far as I can tell and I don't think every week has a GoG song.  It seems it is just an extra challenge for those who would like to have a go at it.

 

Song arrangements are rated on a scale of 1-10 for difficulty.  1-3 for beginner class, 4 and 5 for intermediate class, 6 and 7 for advanced class, 8 and 9 for master class, and 10- God of Guitar,

I'll also be out due to the latest update and also having a Mac rather than a 'proper' computer, but I have been sent to China tomorrow for a couple of weeks so I wouldn't be able to play anyway.

No offense, but would you please consider looking a song two times before selecting it for the contest? I don't think it is correct a bass tone that uses a guitar amp instead of a bass one. And also a bassline that mimics every single note of the guitar, even in the "solo"

Sorry for the rant, but it really pisses me off basses that play like guitars, I want to play bass dammit! :D

God of Guitar was made to free MasterClass from songs that are crazy tough. Since our classes are quite loose, we have participants who can't tackle those GoG-level songs but are already in MC and since we want to encourage people to try harder, we don't want to discourage them with DragonForce-like tunes.

Technically being a GoG participant makes you a MC participant :)

They won multiple awards with that song and it's album and got more mainstream attention, which is fun since Titus can't sing a shit :lol:

 

@@Mortalo well I didn't knew this band till now, but the song I knew the original (I think) by The B-52's. These Acid Drinkers have nothing bad, just they aren't my cup of tea :)
