Not working for me.

 

OS 10.7.5.

 

Steam path: /Users/myname/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014/

 

DLC shows up but hangs before note way begins to scroll.

 

On running I'm getting the error: 

...RUN_PATCH_RS.command: line 4:   292 Illegal instruction: 4  ./insert_dylib --inplace "$RS_PATH/libRSBypass.dylib" "$RS_PATH/Rocksmith2014"

 

I'm off to check the rest of the thread for further instruction.  :plus1:

 

 

I have a feeling it won't work for me either... on 10.6 (I believe...) but I'm under the impression that the "RSBypass.dylib" needs to be compiled for your version of OSX, which it probably isn't and why it won't work for you. Or maybe this is something to do with the paths or permissions. My Steam & Rocksmith are both on External Drives and not the default paths so that's another hurdle I'll have to hopefully overcome. RSInjector.app was able to just point to my "symlink" Rocksmith2014.app.

Finally it WORKS!!

@@okewlie i've recompile the insert_dylib for older mac OS version that should work for 10.6 and after but i'm waiting on confirmation that it does work before having to update the whole package. @@Lovroman is working on a solution that would likely help you, if you can wait a bit (no idea how much time it will take but don't expect it tomorrow).

I've got it working on 10.7.5!  @@firekorn sent me a link to an "older" "insert_dylib" and I've re-set my permissions via Terminal, and it only bloody works! :D

Oh man I was soooo depressed when I seemed to have lost my customs again and the new injector wouldn't work anymore!!

It looks like you have non standard folders/path.  You probably need to open RUN_PATCH_RS with TextEdit, and change the RS_PATH in there to match yours.

@@wagonmike Where is located your Rocksmith folder? If it's not in /Users/michaeltremblay/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Rocksmith2014/ it won't work and as @@missis sumner said you'll need to change the path in the command file by using the TextEdit

i have check the path yesterday.... i was pretty sure it's the same.... but ill check back tonight

What is this .DS_Store file that's now appearing in my DLC folder?

@missis summer, it's a Mac OS system file, used by Finder.

They're usually hidden files.  

i can't get access to the run_patch_rs.command. have tried both of the links included and it won't give me access to run in terminal...totally stuck w/o my CDLC's for almost a week now! help!!!

@@treyfoges3, what do you mean it won't give you access?

 

Are you getting a permission denied error?  If so, you need to change the permissions on all three files that are in the zip folder.

 

Right-click on each, and select "Get Info".  Then click the little lock icon on the bottom right corner and enter your Admin password.  Make sure all 3 users in the list under "Sharing & Permissions" have Read/Write privileges.

 

Also, just in case, make sure that Rocksmith isn't running while you're trying to apply the patch.

@@Wepeel - that would explain it.  I've currently got hidden files "on". :)

it's because i run my osx and app from an ssd on a accelsior ( something like that) and my data is on a Hdd in a Hdd Bay

Anyone tried adding new songs after applying this patch?  I am able to run RS and can use songs I downloaded previously, but I downloaded a new song last night that doesn't appear in the game.  is anyone else having this issue?  

 

is there anything I can do?  would re-running the patch help?
