I've tried to follow the instructions regarding the prep work for putting CDLC onto my computer and I'm a bit stumped. Where it says to replace the D3DX9_42.dll I've checked the root folder and I don't even have that file to start with. What should I do? I used to be able to run CDLC without a new DLL but that was on a previous computer and an older version of Rocksmith 2k14.

I had something similar a couple of days ago. It said that Bink2w32.dll was missing. I downloaded it off the net (cost me $15 for the license). all working now

You shouldn't have to pay anything extra for a game to work ever.

@@Kasrkin8 Does it work if you just put the dll in the root folder? Can you verify the integrity of the game files via steam?

I think the problem here is that he has reinstalled rocksmith and he needs to re download the .dll file. Check the FAQ you'll find a link to the .dll file there.

I re-verified and then pasted the DLL into the file and it seems to be working now. I'll keep testing it, but it seems fine for now. Cheers Firekorn!
