Being the FreeBird that I am, I am exercising my right to swoop into the bass master class clubhouse like a seagull,  make irritating noises, steal any unprotected food and leave a nasty deposit like this.  As usual, the RS score seems unduly generous to me.

My pick! I added this to the list forever ago, as you can see by my play count. Random strikes on nothing. I can do a lot better than this.

Scored 80 on my sightread but knew I was capable of greater things, so here is my much smoother second play. Good old Babymetal with a nice ballad. Second solo crazy difficult for advanced.

I'm not super crazy about NoMeansNo but this was one of their better songs. Gonna take some serious practise for me to catch up with you high 90s people...

I love Drop D tuning, while playing guitar. Its one of my favorites. But I don't feel this on bass for now. 

 

Today are my last exercises and playing. I`m tuned in Drop D for both instruments, I was missing this tuning so much. Relax session with A7X on my last day at home. Tomorrow I`m going to Italy at least :)

I'm back from sunny Gran Canaria...... thanks for choosing one of my songs  :)

 

I haven't had a chance to play any of my class songs yet as i had to pick up the computer from my dads (the last iMac got stollen last year with a guitar while I was on holiday so i took no chances this time round).

 

My fingers have gone soft so need a bit of hardening up, we'll see how this week goes.

 

Should have my first scores tomorrow..... good to be back.....although  I'd rather be in Gran Canaria

AlpaQ got around 80k points more than me (damnit!) but i dont know how much i can improve other than i already can do :) Will definately try for those 80k tommorow. Ill start working on no rain no rainbow even though im not advanced but i really like that song.

@ So how does this go since we both got 100% is the winner based on how many points or who got there first etc.?

Uhmm i believe its if 2 people have FC'd a song then they get their places by seeing who had the longest streak and if they have 100% they of course have the same streak and THEN we go to the points. So, right now you are winning until someone else gets more than your score

First goes of the week and as usual with the D tuning the game only recognises some of the notes (my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

 

Bass first

 

 

then on to Rhythm, which wasn't so good as my fingers were hurting a bit, well the bits that hadn't gone numb that is

 

 

finally on to Lead which i am traditionally shit at anyway........

My gradual climb to improve my score has begun.  I'm up to 96% on bass for Body Bag.  I pressed [F12] a little late,but the score still shows in the bottom left.

 

I just realized that I never explained why I skipped over the advanced bass track.  I lump Baby Metal in with all of the sickly sweet and overly cute Japanese girl bands (none of which seem like rock and roll to me).  If I am given the choice of being seen watching cute Japanese girls dance around singing syrupy sweet crappy music, or being seen watching fat guys sing about necrophilia, I consider Body Bag to be the lesser evil.  And you never know who is watching.

I have neglected the competition somewhat this week.  I have a good excuse though - I've fitted flat wounds to my short scale bass, so I've had to go back and play every song I have ever played, again, just to see what it sounds like.

 

I can now play The Police!   :D
