About every 2 months or so RS stops updating my progress in game or any changes to setting (favorites, playlists, etc...).  Now while I'm playing RS it is updating my progress and setting changes.  It's only when I exit and re-enter the game that I find out my progress was lost.   I get no errors when starting, playing or exiting the game.  I religiously save my progress files every day (I play at least 4 days a week) and when this issue occurs even restoring to an older version does not repair it.  I usually restore to the backup a day or two before the timestamp of the last files (ie. the last update to the json and PRFDLIB files).  I've gone back to 3 weeks before the files stopped updating and it still will not save my progress.  My only remedy in the past has been to remove and reinstall RS.  I'm at a loss for options on how to fix the issue and would prefer not to "start over" anymore.  I have read all the posts about bad CDLC and have removed the few items I had in my library (but never played), it did not solve the issue.  Anyone have any advice or a solution ?

Not sure what happened but I have resolved.  Steam Cloud thought would not update the cloud version with my updates.  I fooled it into taking a newer version of the save files.  If you search WW for how to remove files from Steam Cloud (or restart a game) the instructions will get you where you need to be.  Instead of uploading "empty" files I uploaded a newer version.  I'm going to disable Steam Cloud to avoid future issues (hopefully !) as I don't play on multiple PC's.  Thanks
