I haven't played this tune as many times as it says, most of them are trying to get the big red string (used to be E) to register a hit then the dreaded 3 XXX's appear.

The Masterclass song seemed cool, but C standard is just not convenient.

Well, I figure that I'll throw my hat into this mix. Stumbled across the championship post today and it sounds just like the challenge/motivation I've been looking for. I'm going start at Intermediate. Hopefully, it won't take me too long to get to advanced. I suck at finger-picking, otherwise I'd start there this week.

I tried this with my classical guitar (cant be plugged) and it was easier and sounded better. Loved both song and video (no a clue about the lyrics though). But here is my lousy score with an electric

I'm not gonna play as much as I want in coming days as I sorta injured my thenar (or one of it muscles) in left hand (that's what hurts when holding power chord shape too long). It hurts when I do push-ups (so I have to put something soft underneath) as I put pressure on my hand, other then that I don't really feel anything wrong. So I'm gonna try to give it a much needed rest.

First somewhat decent score with fingerpicking.  Its worse than my plectrum score but i still wanna show it.

I'm still totally messing up when it changes from string 2-5 to 1-4. But before that happens for the first time it sounds totally OK.

 

Thanks again for the playthrough, it really did help.

Early finish at work gave me the opportunity to try out my latest plan for improvement.

 

1, You must not go out for a beer until you beat your best score.

2, You do not deserve more than one beer if you do not beat 98%,

3, You can drink your head off if you beat the latest top score i.e. @@Vodka

 

 

4, If you nearly beat it it is good enough as technically you beat rule 2 and tomorrow is another day.

Really enjoyed this week's beginner lead very unusal compared to the typical songs. This is my final score as out all day tomorrow I just hope nobody beats this. :)

I`ve removed DD. Good song, mediumcore. RS had sometimes problem with recognizing chords and notes on G (rather Gb) string. They are quite old and there is a reason, I think.

As much as I love the very cute Vulfpeck track, I have succumbed to the plight of little time and hectic week. Too much to complete remains incomplete before deadlines, work, school fayres, school reports (My kids are fecking awesome) my better halfs' birthday (Today! Wish him a happy birthday! He's younger than me by 15 whole months so that's a bonus :) .) and lastly... I'm just not quite in Vulfpeck's league for shifting that quick without committing the song to memory... which brings me back to original plight of not enough time in the frickin' day. Meal out later and a few drinky-poos so for the now I'll duck out until Monday :) Congrats to the soon to be winners. See you next week :)
