was wanting to get The house of the rising sun by the Animals but it is an official DLC from RS1.  There is an option to download which only takes me to the riffrepeater website.  Is there a way to download the DLC or a CDLC of the song or purchase the song individually from RS1 to RS2014 withput buying RS1 and buying a key?

You don't need RS1 to buy and play RS1 DLC on any platform and we don't offer free DLC or CDLC of ODLC as this would be consider as piracy.

Pretty sure that track was On Disc for Rocksmith 2012, not DLC. In order to get it then, you need to own 2012 in your steam library, then you can buy the "Disc import tool" - for $10. It gives you most of the on-disc content for 2012, in 2014. About 50 tracks for $10.
