Hi guys I know it looks like I make lame excuses at the beginning of the week but i took a terrible tumble in the shower last night and hurt my shoulder, & arm........the moral of this story is don't take a shower whilst raving drunk even if you 'smell like a pig', her words not mine.

Anyway I'm hoping to try a few plays tomorrow if it feels a little less painful, there's already some big scores this week and I'm getting left behind due to my own drunken stupidity.

Got halfway through The Pogues before giving up, I straight up, don't like the song. The bass line seemed out of sync until about a third of the way through where it then feels a bit nicer to play (The bass line, I feel, is what makes the song bearable :( )

 

Queens I need more time than the very short practice time I have to get those bends. Tenacious D can wait. I'm not well, again so I'm a tad pissed off about nothing.

99,17% on lead guitar :) I will be hard to improve it :)

Love Jack Black, never heard this song. Got downleveled twice on the little tiny sliver bit. This song hit me really hard because a few close friends moved to other cities, and lately I'm all alone all the time. :( Super fun to play.

This is what I thought when I first tried this song, but @ says bends are the wrong technique here.  I can see why - it's a long way to bend, and that first fret one is just impossible - I've run out of fingers! :lol:

Ahhh ok. I've not read the whole thread this week so I missed the conversation but ok :) I'll do that for certain then if it's the correct way to do it... those bends were a bit OTT on the bendiness it was asking, I agree :D cheers @@missis sumner

I'm having some sound issues. Recently I've been forced into changing my OS courtesy of Microsoft updates, so I'm now running windows10. I kinda like it, it's very reminiscent of windows98 and things are in their proper places, BUT, for some reason, my settings keep changing. Mid song I've had the mic exclusivity decide it wasn't going to give any control to rocksmith. I get a window pop up everytime I take a screenshot that my speakers appear to be unplugged too. I'm repeatedly having to change this setting during playing rocksmith and restarting it for it to take effect only for my computer to refuse to allow me to use my headphone socket at the front of my machine that allows me to run it straight to the soundcard. It "thinks" I have it at the back (I don't) and therefore I must obey it. I love PC's but I hate Microsoft being a PITA about my hardware. I can't record anything either which is irritating :(

I don't know if I'm able to play this week. Monday they removed my lower left third molar in a fast and bloody operation :wacko:  Actually I'm not in a big playing mood, more busy with cooling my gumboil. Maybe later this week.

I've been playing one of the competition songs a little, but I've made no improvement. :(

 

And I have a confession to make… I've been playing the original Rocksmith, and got myself to "National Headliner" within 3 days.  That's a lot quicker than I did it the first time around. :)

 

God, but it's difficult to see where on the fretboard it wants you to play.  The lack of clarity in the graphics almost makes it a semi-mastermode, which makes an interesting change from the clarity of 2014.   Half of the time I have to try to recall what I'm supposed to be playing from past experience, and not rely on being able to see it. :D

took a few goes to get the hang of it, but getting there.....

 

not to bad at this just lost it a bit halfway through........

 

 

i got into this one quite a lot but i broke the fecking string.......... but used second guitar to finish it.......

 

 

and i had to have to go on the Irish Rover.......
