playing in drop d is frustrating on me trying to get some notes to register, fun song though.

@@Hughmonty I'm the same I miss simple one notes as it doesn't register on my guitar. Will use a different guitar and play with pickups hopefully can get it to work

I find lightly touching the top string when in drop D helps,

Well, I just managed to 100% sightread the MC bass song this week, so that's always a great thing. Don't expect me to ever 100% sightread again :P

that's what I meant with unplayable chords.... but you don't need that G-string (orange), it's the same note than the B 1st fret (green).

minor issue. in my 1st post with scores I commented any issues I found, also in QOTSA custom with ways to manage them.

I saw some struggling with the Dude cdlc, caused by being unfamiliar with those slash chords i bet.

Here are any hints to master them (used finger numbers on the strings in RS colors):

best way here to play the D/F# is just grab it like an usual D chord and use your thumb from the other side (T,1,3,2).

C/G is just like a normal C chord, but 3rd finger is on E str 3rd fret (G) and the pinky takes the position the 3rd finger was before, Astr 3rd fret © (3,4,2,1).

B7/F# was also for me unusual and mostly broke my streak there, but if use 2nd finger for E and A string 2nd fret, 1st finger D 1st fret and 3rd finger on G string 2nd fret it is the same fingering like an usual B7 chord (2,2,1,3)(play it with fingers 2,3,1,4 gives me also trouble most times)

Yup, slides it is (thanks Fripp). For QOTSA I Never Came on bass I'm a little above 97%

 

Note that I never claimed to be any better at slides than I am at bends. :D

After a while, when I had only one miss, I realized that I'm just over 1 minute of the song. It was tough.
