Hey everyone,

I spent a decent amount of time configuring Pro Tools (Windows 10) to use my Rocksmith Cable and ASIO4ALL as an input to record directly. There weren't any tutorials and it was pretty frustrating, so if there's interest I will make a guide for it. Let me know below if you'd like me to cobble a tutorial together!

I also use Guitar Rig 5 so if people need help with that as well I can write something up, but I think there's better documentation on the internet for that!

Cheers

the realtone cable is a very poor quality recording interface. Better off buying a USB interface that has quality pre amps, like a Scarlett 2i2,under $150.

First thing you will need to do is get the ASIO drivers downloaded and set up to recognise your RS cable as an input and away you go.

you can get the drivers from here-http://asio4all.com/

Thanks for the reply! Already try it! But still no input on pro tools and when I click on playback devices to configure it, it just freezes and close, any recomendation? What else can I do? Thanks in advance!

RS câble is no playback device (input only), you have to aggregate one in your asio4all driver so you'll have an output as well as the input when selecting those drivers in PT.

That being said, you'd better go for a decent audio interface, starting from 100-150 €$ you'll find plenty (focusrite, zoom, presonus, Yamaha, Steinberg, Roland...)

Rocksmith Cable + Interface in Pro Tools 2024.3.1

To be able to have you input and output is need to create an aggregate device where the Rocksmith Cable is the first selection and the interface 2nd.  As PLAY BACK ENGINE add the Aggregate and GO TO Setup I/O there the Input 1 is the Rocksmith and Output the interface. Go to your audio track the mono input is Front Left representing Rocksmith and the Output select the proposal where you will see a speaker icon. That it
