It's my first post so please be gentle.

 

I'm having a strange issue with the game crashing on exit.  I get to the white splash screen and the game freezes up when I choose continue to exit.  I then cannot close the game through task manager and have to perform a full reset of the computer.

 

When I verify the local game cache it updates one file and this fixes the issue right up until it happens again.

 

Any thoughts and suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

I usually exit using Alt+f4 and that causes crashes every now and then.  I don't need to restart the computer but its still a bit annoying.

Check your eventlog to see whats being logged when the app hangs if anything.

Past crashes should still appear in the logs.

Looks to be something to do with rocksmith.exe opening a registry key or a registry handle leaking.  I hope this makes sense to you as it doesn't to me.  It's way beyond my computer knowledge.

Right click the icon you launch rs with, select runas and run it as administrator, once in rs dont play just attempt a clean exit.

 

If its complaining of the registry guessing permissions issue, running as admin once may cure it.

sadly that didn't resolve the issue but thanks for the suggestion, most appreciated.

Other than Steam and uplay when playing do you have any other game managers installed, thinking Origin in particular. It caused a different issue for a user here.
