Lucky run on the new version.  Intro finger picking is still way out of my skill.  But i will give it some more tries before i give it up.

I was never his biggest fan, but there was never one song of his that I didn't like, and I certainly enjoy playing this.  Thanks, Prince. :(

I'm so frustrated with the beginner song.  I can't even get through it in LAS without it dropping off of 100% difficulty in the fast part.

 

It's even more frustrating as it's a song that means something to me.  I was recently apart from and didn't see (other than skype) my wife and daughter for 18 months whilst I was in the UK and they were in NZ,

 

I'd love to be able to play it for my daughter, but I just can't make my fingers work that fast.

 

I'm hoping to be able to post a score by the end of the week, but it doesn't look good at the moment  :(

Diddle im in the same boat really struggling with the beginner song its the hardest lead since I have been here.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am already using the mini barre.  That's what got me from 80% speed to 90% speed, but I can't go any quicker than that.

 

In all honesty, I've played intermediate 4's that are much easier than this.  I normally struggle when I get to the 5's, and that's where this one feels it should be, although only for those quicker bits.

 

If I could put in a decent score on this song then I think I'd belong in the intermediate class.

 

Ignore any grumpiness though, I'm just frustrated with it  :)

I played the Jet Lag. That fast part is tricky, but I have more trouble with those muted chords. I can agree with 3 here.

Oh another Fishbone. @ you really won't ever get bored with that cra... what? It's not awful? It will stay in my library even after the week? What is wrong with me!? I didn't enjoyed metal Fishbone so much (not that I really enjoyed it, but I might play it again).

I can't post a score in the beginner lead section, the song is just too difficult, so just to keep my posting record I've had a crack at the rhythm.
