Does anyone have know of or have any recommendations for free recording software similar to BandiCam?

@@TheDeathryder - Using OBS you can set something up that's similar to what you get with Bandicam (though it's way more flexible, so you can do lots of other stuff, too). I'm making my way over to OBS from Bandicam but haven't fully migrated yet.

 

Edit: But greater flexibility also means it's a bit harder to set up. Look up tutorials on youtube or elsewhere.
