Is there a way to run backingtracks in the background while running rocksmith?

I use rocksmith's tones to play guitar, however when i minimize the game and try to run a backing track on youtube or a file on my pc i get a error that the file cant be played. A long time ago it used to be possible as long as i used a headset, but now it work doesn't at all..
