hey guys, i seem to be having a problem with the timing of note recognition on the 14th fret, 3d string and the 12th & 13th fret of the second string. evrn slowed it down to 80 on riff repeater and can't get better than 15 notes missed on a 57 note run.

 

i don't thinks i'm that bad, but who knows. anyone else having an issue???? 

Hey @@franfit, Yep, I'm having some recognition issues, and almost certainly in that same place in the Ghost song.

Not really a fan of small sections in cdlc, think there should be a cap to section lengths

This wasn't too hard. I didn't like Postcard, so I wasn't expecting to like this, but by the middle I was definitely enjoying it. I think I can 100% this, it feels like a very low 7 to me. Which is funny, because I used to think of ska as a weakness of mine, but I pretty much figured this song out by the end of my first run.

 

Nice guitar, @@then3verend ! One of the guitarists in my old band used that exact same model and he was a beast player like yourself. I hope it serves you well.

I guess I might as well start playing MC Rhythm charts, if I want to stand any chance of winning anything ever again! I was disappointed I didn't get to play the main riff during the lead run. It's just as fun to play as it sounds!

But I'll have a go over the weekend and see what happens, at least it is giving my fingers a bit of a work out.

@ Welcome to the beginners group :) 

 

It is generally a friendly competition, where we look to post scores as we go, encouraging others to beat them, and in turn pushing ourselves to do better.  I guess someone could wait until just before the deadline and post a winning score, but it generally isn't done that way because we are trying to encourage each other to do better.

 

I quite often start the week with a 70 or 80% score and work to get it into the 90's and as high in the 90's as possible be the end of the week.

 

You'll see from the scores this week, in comparison to previous weeks, that in general the beginners are struggling a little with this song, and it is probably at the top end of the scale for beginners.  It is rated as a 3 difficulty, but I've certainly played 4's that were easier.  If the lead is at the top end, the rhythm is clearly in a different class (in my uneducated opinion :) ).

 

Don't worry about it though, next week will likely be easier, and for this week, if you can't get a run in Score Attack in, doing it in learn a song is also allowed as long as the difficulty is all at 100%.
