Mono frame 2.4?

It's not an upgrade.  In fact, version 2.4 is incredibly old.

 

It's a problem with the Toolkit itself.

 

Read through the 2nd post in this thread:

Make sure you uninstall any previous versions of Mono that you have installed and then install the correct version you need for your version of OS X.

 

Then at the bottom of that post there is a version of the Toolkit that I modified to work.
