@ - You did a good job with the solo, but the entire reason I also uploaded the source files was so that you didn't have to unpack the .psarc and deal with all the crap that the Rocksmith import misses. Here are the things I noticed that are missing/slightly messed up from your version.

-Time signatures are somewhat wrong.

-Some chord slides and linknexts didn't import or weren't fixed up after import.

-Arpeggios didn't import.

-FHP during the solo are messed up now. I think you just changed the notes but not the FHP.

Anyway, here's an improved score.

http://i.imgur.com/x3NeChk.jpg

Still need lots of work on the second to last section of the solo, and I think I also didn't do nearly as well as I could have on the last one.

Well, I made a video to demonstrate my problem with lower frets.

Please don't care about palm mutes and the other things.

Could someone tell me how to "fix" that.

I chose that song and that speed especially to show what is going on.

First try - I pressed the 5th string till the end (first photo). And the second - just a little (second photo).

As far as I'm concerned the trouble with the 5th and 6th strings and 1-2 frets.

So the problem is not caused by the brand, more the gauge of your strings.

Generally you finger should always placed as close as possible to the next fret rod, not in the middle or the bottom of a fret. This way you need less pressure and the notes are sounding clear.

For some reason one tends to press esp. the first and the 2nd fret too hard.

Here is your fix:

1) Do place your fingers always close to the next fretrod (the finger may even touch it) as mightymighty @ pointed out.

2) Open your song, tune your guitar, press ESC

3) Now strum a few 100 of your desired notes / chords and monitor the "tuningmeter" down left.

That way you can see how far you are off from perfect and can improve on your technique - esp. pressure applied.

For the strings........ as @fripp said - its always you and its never the stringbrand.

you are right @@albatross213, I was just testing out how I can fix some for me important things just with the psarc, never tried before.

Also I only changed the first solo half, didn't want to spend too much time in it. I'm surprised how easy it is to do changes without the source file. Now I played without much practice, but needs a lot of work in practicing. But it should be easy to use your source file and copy the modified solo sections into it. I'll do it this evening, then the most should be back ok.

In this song you have a very low tuning, is it drop C?

In your video's first run are many misses on that one note A1, also it sounds out of tune there: the pressure of your index is way to strong. On second run are no misses, also it sounds in tune, using a light pressure there, so what's the problem?

For low tunings you need to play heavy gauge strings to avoid any going out of tune effect by pressing the string too hard and/or strumming too hard. So the problem is not caused by the brand, more the gauge of your strings.

Generally you finger should always placed as close as possible to the next fret rod, not in the middle or the bottom of a fret. This way you need less pressure and the notes are sounding clear.

Yes, everything is absolutely right =)
Thank you for the answer. I'm trying to re-teach myself to place my fingers right to fret rod for several days. But that's not such an easy =) Well, will brake my fingers more and more =)

P.S. I wrote the message above because I've got the same issue with "die die darling" which is Eb.

@ - Sorry if I came off a bit dickish. Most of those things are things that can happen if you're not used to them and don't know what to look for. The first three problems that I mentioned are solely due to the Rocksmith import, while the last can easily happen if you're not used to editing a song where FHP are already entered (which Rocksmith import always takes, and I often put FHP in my files now to make solos and other tricky bits more easily readable and playable).

Anyway, if you want, if you send me your notes.eof file I can incorporate your changes to the solo into mine, which might be the easiest way to finish things off. Or I might be able to grab it from the Rocksmith import and copy/paste, since the solo has no chords.

No problem, I fully understand you. That would be great if you could fix those, anyway, here's the eof notes file.

For me it seemed the easiest way to unpack, fix and repack it. If you use only the notes file you need to create the psarc new, also you need tones and image and wem file I thought, no? I'm not very familar by doing it that way. Also I never cared much about fhp, only filling the correct fingers into chords when saving eof

Alright, I added @'s updates to mine and hosted it in the same folder as before. Most changes are to the solo, but I also found some of the missing palm mutes, fixed some FHPs, and put "ignore" status on the 3rd fret harmonics since I had a 0% success rate with detection on those. Not sure if it was in the previous version or not, but somehow I was missing a tone change to the clean after the solo before going back to the distortion for the outro chorus, so that's back in there.

Also tried adding a DD version, but it seemed to have some weird bugs with some of the slides.

Lastly, a scoring update:
