On guitar some of the chords are pretty strange (the 466044 chord especially,

I would assume it's played without the low G#. That way it's just a variation on a barre chord

Its not that hard if you use your thumb on the e string.

@@albatross213 new bass path for Dream Theater works nicely, good job !

 

For the guitar path I have one or two issues

- backing audio is very loud, makes it hard to hear what I'm playing

- one or two palm mutes in the riff don't seem to have been imported correctly

- the end of the verse section is much more complex than any other tab or cover video I've seen, something like the way it's done here https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/d/dream_theater/the_looking_glass_ver2_guitar_pro.htm might be better.

 

The 469/468 chords are correct, you can see it being played that way in the music video, so I'd leave them as is.

@@Nacholede feel free to redo it. If that will give us better customs, why not?

Petrucci can stretch those fingers mad. He can do more then ordinary guitarists.

Quick update to The Looking Glass. This is now a shared folder so the link should be stable, and I've included the source files if anyone else wants to play around with it. Most of the changes were to lead, including

-Added arpeggios for the prechorus

-Added a slide down before the last chord before the verse (which probably didn't import).

-Changed the verse riff according to the tab that @@fiddlesticks posted.

-Backed the song volume off 3 dB (I find -5 is usually sufficiently loud for modern production) and tone volumes back 1 or 1.5 dB. Haven't tested every one, but hopefully that works reasonably well.

 

I wasn't sure about the PMs, and I don't want to hunt down a few notes in an entire song, so unless you're more specific (e.g. screenshot) or want to change it yourself, that probably won't change.

I've played the Metallica quite a lot, so I'll post a previous score and maybe look at whether I can progress in Intermediate.  If the scores get up there then I might come back to this.

 

Beginner Lead - 98.75%

First SA run at the Arctic Monkeys.  Struggling with the speed a little, but not too bad considering and I think still room for improvement.  I'd like to get over the 95% mark.  I'm not sure if that's dreaming, but I'll give it my best shot.
