I can't get a good result on the other songs =(

I can't even get 100% on Depeche Mode. Every time one of notes get unrecognized. Every time! 

And Deep Purple is not such easy at all =(

@@Vodka for the Depeche Mode song, I was struggling with the slides from the 4th fret to the 2nd fret on the purple e string.  Is that what you are having issues with too?  It took me a long time to get through that section, and I might be wrong, but I thought the recognition in learn a song was better than in score attack.  Try it in learn a song and see if you can get 100%.

 

I think 99.03% is just 2 notes off!

 

It is a strange week really.  with the exception of those slides, the beginner song is really easy, and the like you I find the Deep Purple song hard.  Both guitar intermediate songs are way beyond me this week too.

 

As @ said though the only thing you can do is fight it.  If you are struggling with the same slides as I was, let me know, I'll have to go play it again, but I found a couple of things and timings that seemed to help.

Sometimes I miss 4=>2 slide. And I can play that slide right. And I do. But something's wrong. I can't understand. Maybe my new strings are playing with me. And maybe my broken bridge pickup buggy (I fixed it).

But sometimes I miss one note on the yellow string.

Anyway, as said @Motive - let's fight it! That's why we're here - to fight with our fingers, our strings, our minds!

@@Brutus Erectus - You don't need to start at beginner. You can start at MC if you want (and based on that result, you probably should be there).

 

Also, that screenshot isn't valid for the score. It should be a screenshot immediately after you finish when it shows you your longest streak and accuracy percentage.

Time for a new goal :D I got Endicott up to 99% after I changed the fingering on the riff to position the index finger over the 5th fret instead of the 4th.  Tomorrow, I'll try for 99.5%

@@Brutus Erectus You definitely don't need to start at beginner.  It's best if you jump in where you think you fit.  TBH if you go back to the earlier classes you just mess up the scoring for those that are competing there.

 

You should at minimum be starting in Advanced, but more likely M/C

 

Best to post the score at the end of a Score Attack.  You get the decimals on the percentage accuracy that way, and sometimes that .1 of a percent matters  :)

Sorry, I am quite new to the CDLC thing. Even Flow does not show up in the game for me. Does it have a different App ID than Cherub Rock? 

@@Brutus Erectus   No it uses Cherub Rock just like the others.

@@MonstaS4 I agree, that,  probably I should be on Advanced category in terms of score. But what I found cool about the champioship is to force me to play things that I would never play and therefore achieve new techniques and improve/make me a more versatile and better player.

 

I think the biggest danger of Rocksmith is that generally and I understand why, we will look at the score instead of the tone. If for example Jimi Hendrix played his own songs on Rocksmith I bet that he wouldn't get 100% and we still would prefer listening to him than someone who achieved 100%.

 

Regarding Weak from Skunk Anansie, despite the score, I still didn't nailed the solo, if I played this LIVE I wouldn't be pleased with myself. That is what I aim always for, being good on Live situation.

 

I understand if the rules would force me to move to advanced, I will respect that but I would rather prefer staying on Intermediate for about 2 months before I move to the other level, for the same reason I explained before.

 

What a testament, right? :)

@@Brutus Erectus - I haven't played this song and so don't know, but if the song doesn't have Dynamic Difficulty (DD), then normally there is no problem submitting a score attack on easy or medium, to get around the 3 big X's, and to allow you to register a score  :)

@@NunoJBSilva.Guitarist , I totally agree. I've debated many times because of slipping into MC on the same such reasoning... I complained lots until I got my MC license revoked from too much bitchin'. I think however, that now, if you find yourself in MC because your scores in advance qualified you for MC you can actually get ranked back to wherever you want by not contending in that category after 3 weeks and choose where you want to be, or at least I think that's the case now (any purple names want to clarify or correct me? I might be wrong, or drunk.) ... It's a bit poo being in MC and not even achieving a playthrough that scores anywhere on the leaderboards but I guess not nearly as poo as it is for folk feeling less motivated because someone's dominating the leaderboard... Though it doesn't apply to dominating the leaderboard in MC, obviously ... Until we bring out the ultimate badass category :)

@@NoonyDeloony I will start from your last sentence. Cool name for the top category 'Ultimate Badass' in the future :) I have suggested the 'Virtuoso' category because in my opinion I think playing Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Metallica (I love 'em all) it is not the same as playing Joe Satriani, Vai, Albert Lee, Paco de Lucia, etc, etc. I prefer your chosen name 'Ultimate Badass' though.

 

I understand both sides, in one way if I like to achieve a good sound if I go to advance I might be disappointed but I understand also someone that is trying hard on the intermediate being disappointed, I get it. Although in my case I wouldn't, I would be motivated. And if we get demotivated by someone that is better than us, we will have a hard time, that is why I avoid searching on youtube by 'Kid playing Flamenco Guitar' or something :D

 

I will go with the rules if the moderators decide so, despite this is rock n'roll right, don't follow the rules, just kiddin' :) If I have to advance to the next level I will and I will do my best to achieve the best results both in score and tone.
