HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!!

I've been working on too many things and not perfecting any of them.  Here is proof of my temporary mediocrity (at least I hope that it's temporary)

 

Heaven =  96%  I'm just not getting the slides right

 

Weak = 97% That riff isn't coming naturally to me

 

Seven Come Eleven = 97% I'm getting up to speed

 

I'll keep working on Seven Come Eleven and start on Endicott tomorrow

Since the song was so short i decided to play it in non stop to minimize the downtime between plays.

But i find the overall score to be weird. I had played it 6 times before with all score over 89% and it still gives me this:

I think there might be an error, 98.58 is higher than 98.47

@@fiddlesticks If you desperately want to hit that slide, bend the string at 19th fret or suffer your selection :)

I'm doing worse every time on Even Flow and it's starting to annoy me  :angry:. Now my PRS is fretting out on bends above the 12th fret on the high E as well for some reason.

After struggling with the note recognition on the slides, I finally put together a run that stuck the whole way through.

 

It might have been in my head, but I think the note recognition issues I was having on the slides was worse in score attack than learn a song.  If I went into riff repeater or learn a song, I could get them recognised most times, but in score attack, different story.  I hate posting learn a song scores, so I kept going with the score attack, but if anyone else is struggling with the slides, try learn a song instead, it might be a bit easier to get them recognised.

Just a couple of updates atm, I'm going to freebird it this week as I am really not getting along with Even Flow, the intro I got down in a few minutes but the rest of it is just too-damn-fast for me... /shakes fist at Jeff Ament... I am tres` gutted about this as I love Pearl Jam almost as much as I love Rush and Cauliflower Cheese with Bacon Butties, and my kids  :ph34r:

I know exactly what you mean.  I really didn't like the song when it first came out, and I like it even less now that I hear the nagging women singing, but there's something oddly intriguing about that strange bass line… :(

It's a sign of its time the "nagging women" bit... I'd heard those girls are on Loose Women now :D

Aw, do you two need a group hug?  :P  All that you need to like this song is a big fruity drink with an umbrella (and a LOT of rum in it) then you can can get up and dance marengey murenge morengay merengue with a scantily clad hottie of your preferred gender. :D

 

OK I've gotten Seven Come Eleven up to 100%.  I'll still try to improve on my playing - it sounds a little choppy in the faster bits.

 

I've just started on Endicott, and no, I can't be like Endicott yet? Especially not like the bassist.

Yap, that is one of the most irritating things that i have come along since starting with the CS and being forced to play songs i woudnt´ve - Songs that i ve disliked, hated or even laughed about can be a blast to play :excl: , rarely beloved songs the other way around pull my nerves on the guitar :guardsman: .
