For difficulties, I'd say something like

 

Ars Moriendi - 7.5 or 8. I think the hardest riff and how much it repeats would find a place in a 6 or 7 difficulty song, but in most of those songs they'd be padded out by lots more easy stuff. The consistent difficulty level pushes this up a bit.

 

Fatal Illusion - 9. It's hard, but not so hard that I don't think I'd be able to get near 100% if I were to seriously focus on it, which IMO usually puts things around 8 or 9 difficulty. The fact that it's pretty fatiguing and so can't be practiced/played endlessly puts it up to a 9 for me.

 

@ - I agree that Fatal Illusion needs faster scroll speeds (which is why I mentioned speeding it up). It actually kind of annoys me that the toolkit and website default to a speed of 2.0 (rather than 1.3 or something, which most official songs use), because it's often wildly inappropriate and most people don't seem to consider it. It's at least a quick fix to change to my preferences, though.

 

As for the screenshot you posted, that looks to me like it would all be picked, staying at the 7th fret for the first part, then moving to the 12th for the second part shown (at the new measure). Unfortunately, things like this and tapping are not things that the FHP generated by EoF handle very well and have to be dealt with manually if you want to get them right.

 

I'll do some playthroughs and see if I have any other advice on it for @@Nacholede.

@@albatross213 After RR i see that position not bad, but there crazy speed, i played at 60 % 25 miss, in this section.

Would be good a bit shift section for split this phrase.

difficulty a strong 8 or little 9 because the fast string skipping and other tricky fast parts. Very easy parts but also hard ones, I would rate more to the hardest ones than all on average.

Played through Fatal Illusion on rhythm and lead a few times. First I'll give scores, then suggestions for improving it.

On rhythm things seemed OK for almost everything. The one thing that stood out as weird is in the early verses after it moves up to the third fret position and starts playing "fills" with muted chords, some of the time it has you moving up to the 14th-16th position for what are exclusively fret-hand muted chords. Is there any reason why these should be played there? Seems weird to move your hand but not actually have any new chord boxes.

 

On lead, there are a few more things:

• Measures 90, 91, 94, and 95 are palm muted on rhythm but not on lead.
• A new section at measure 54 would help practice that lead bit, as @ noted. It would also be useful to have a new section at measure 137 (where it starts ascending up the high strings before the high bend). Otherwise I'm happy with the sectioning.
• Fret hand positions for the solos could also be improved. Measures 54-57 use 4 FHP (7, 12, 16, 19), 117-121 only uses one (12), 125-129 only uses one (12), and 133-141 uses 8 (7, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20), so it can be fixed without too much effort.
• Some unpitched slides at the end of the solos go down only one fret when they should go down more.
• I think around measure 99 where the transition to the chugging riff starts, the time signature should be different (either 98 is 6/4 or 99 is 2/4 then back to 4/4 after), which would change things so that the solos naturally start on the first beat of a measure rather than halfway through. This would require re-sectioning the stuff after it a bit, but should still be pretty quick work.

And on more general grounds I agree that the scroll speed should be increased considerably. I'm pretty happy around 1.3. I also think things are a bit too loud (particularly on the guitar path, so a lot of it might be the tone volumes), but maybe I'm getting old.

Major technical difficulties last week, and at the end of the week i had to get that Iron Maiden win in adv rhy for my son ;) (i dont know if those moments hit some of you too sometimes, but for me it feels really strange to be able to hit 98+% on a Maiden, Metallica or Megadeth song or smthg or getting an "advanced win"... championship is good for you).

However with the lb everything should be perfect.
