Will RS2014 cDLCs work if the only 'DLC' I have is RS1 itself and the import tool?

Featured Replies

Is there an option in the patcher to use a song from the RS1 song selection to import CDLC? I don't have any other DLC and don't want to waste my time downloading things if it won't work. Sorry if this is a duplicate post but the search won't work and Google isn't showing any relevant results.

Not realy sorry, you have to buy Cherub Rock by The Smashing Pumpkins for Rocksmith 2014 in order to apper the CDLCs,because most CDLC requiers the Cherub Rock DLC to apper in the game.

The reasons why most of my customs are not updated yet:

1.)I'm lazy to do it because I have no motivation for it

2.)I'm not at my computer

3.)I'm working on a song that I haven't made it yet

4.)I don't have any song to work on it

It doesn't HAVE to be Cherub Rock, though as ShrillBear52 said, most customs use that as the AppID so it is the easiest.

However, if you choose not to buy Cherub Rock you MUST buy a RS2014 dlc.  RS1 dlc won't work at all.  It has to be an official DLC that was released for RS2014.

Keep in mind that if you choose something other than Cherub Rock you'll need to use the RS Custom Toolkit to change the AppID of each custom you download to match whatever dlc you do buy.

Yes that's true, all i sad that,if you buy Cherub Rock,it saves you a lot of hassle, because that'tsd the most used DLC AppID.It more complicated if you buy another, and then load into RS ToolKit and Change the AppID :D

Actually I just downloaded the toolkit to check and Rocksmith 2012 Disc Import Pack is listed as an option, so I can use CDLC without owning any DLC, as I asked. Thanks for the help anyway  :)

Can you verify that it works then please?  A few other people have tried and said it didn't actually work in game.  If it does work, that's great :)

Yeah, it works perfectly! Just select Rocksmith 2012 Disc Import Pack (258341) in the patcher, convert the songs and install them and the DLL like normal. Only problem is finding a song that isn't ludicrously difficult for an intermediate, or really easy.
