Give me americana style bluesy stuff or ska, and I'm away, but "chuggitty chug" just isn't something I'm particularly excelling in... and I'm not sure if I care enough to try for this song. I like Megadeth, I just don't like me playing Megadeth.

 

The other song, think it was black keys, seems really out of sync and I can't be hooped  to tune down for the Everlost one

 

( to my ears it sounds frickin' terrible but you crazy youngsters' grandparent used to hate the shit I listen to too ... it all comes full circle, like Grandpa Simpson says "I used to be with it, until they changed what it was. Now what I am with isn't it and what is it seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you!" )

My computer is alive!! :D :D Picked up a new power supply and crossed my fingers. Not only did it boot, but all the weird problems I've been having with it lately vanished as well. New videos with the fancy new microphone I got for Christmas coming soon!

Here's a late start to this week. This is my favourite Alice Cooper song. Can I beat Maztor's 96 in 3 days? Probably not, but I'll try!

Yay, @@Gamut is back! Glad it was a simple fix of the power supply (actually had that happen to my current desktop year or so back) and not something more serious.

 

@@NoonyDeloony - the part of the instrumental section after the first unison riff I find especially hard on the fret hand. It seems easy but the little shifts you have to do for every note catch up to you quickly.

 

 

Anyway, I managed an improvement on Black Friday.

I think I butchered the solos a bit more than I usually do this time around, but was better on the riffs. Messed up a few of the chords towards the end so my streak isn't as good as it could be, but what's the likelihood anything comes down to streak on this song?

Been busy testing stuff for Rocksmith/EoF and I have been trying to progress on my next custom but I at least had to give this, one of my favorite songs, a try...... definitely outta my skill range when RR'ing the intro above 75% speed. hahaha what I can achieve 100% accuracy at 75% speed was a disaster at 100% speed for this screenshot below.

 

I love that I could at least play this magical riff at low speed. What was once but a fool's wish to play this magnificence, now is but a wish to improve. Hopefully I'll find a few moments to practice further before the end of the week.

 

I wish you all a Happy New Year! and I am so thrilled to see that our community is showing no signs of relenting. Thanks for being diehards. Thanks Mortalo for your tireless work for our benefit!

Good to see you back Gamut.  I was feeling a bit lonely here in advanced this week. 

 

I found it a lot easier to learn Poison with good old tabs than it was with Rocksmith. ( you can get them from the cdlc with the toolkit)

So another year is coming to an end. Like always there were great moments, and not so good ones, but we were able to learn from our mistakes to be better.

Once again, we're approaching new year with hope of getting closer to our dreams, and I bet that we will!

 

I'm thankful to all participants - new ones, those who were here before me, ones that returned or had to leave. Sons, Daughters, Sister, Brothers, Fathers and Moms (, GrandParents?). We (Organizers) are here for you and because of you. We hope that you like what we do, and you keep on rockin' (bluesin'? jazzin'? Megadethin'?).

 

Big thanks to other Organizers:

@ - the all-father, man who's always there when he's needed. His work is invaluable.

@@Rodman - our belowed jester ( :lol: ) trying hard every time. He probably has still the most passion and is less burned out then rest of us :D

@ - still fresh as an Organizer, but doing great job, easing me with all this work (hmm, is he making me lazy? :lol: ).
